Significant updates can take hours to download and install, which could dramatically affect your workflow if you're not expecting the delay. This can really hamstring your creative output if, say, your go-to reverb or sound library becomes inoperable.Īnother factor to bear in mind is the update time that larger updates require. If you have a project using third-party instruments or effects that are incompatible with a new Logic Pro update, considerable sections of your work will stop functioning. Before updating, check the developer's website for each of your plugins to see if it's compatible with the newest version of Logic or not. This can happen quite often, because it takes time for third-party developers to update their plugins so that they work with the newest version of Logic Pro.
